Mamala – Muriamangalam Sri NaraSimha Swami Temple, is situated in Eranakulam district (along side the Kochi-Madurai National Highway) nearby Thiruvamkulam – Tripunithura. This temple has a very ancient history. This is one among the rare Narasimha Swami temples in Kerala, where the ritual of ‘Aayirakudam’ Abhishekam is performed.

The ‘Prathishta’ of this temple is in the form of four handed Lord MahaVishnu (‘Chaturbaahu’), facing west, emerging out of the sacred fire of the ‘homa’. The ‘Aayirakudam’ Abhisheka is perfromed daily to [subside/reduce] the heat generated from the sacred fire. The ‘Vigraha’ is 5 feet tall.

It is believed that people who come here, with strong faith and devotion towards the Lord, are granted with the fulfilment of their desires. There have been many instances in the past to prove the fact. Solely because of this, the number of devotees, visiting the temple is increasing
