In the Malayalam month of ‘Medam’ one day before ‘Vishu’ the ceremony of ‘Kodikayatam’ is performed and celebrations begin. 6 days after the ceremony comes to an end with the ‘Aarattu’.
Problems & Remedies
‘Sri Nara Simha Swami’ temple being many centuries old, the artefacts, temple structures, etc. are in the verge of destruction. ‘Shaaka Samithi’ has reconstructed ‘Sri Kovil’, ‘Chuttambalam’, ‘Thidapupally’.

Eight years back the copper plated ‘Kodimaram’ was removed due to some constructional defects (shaking), but till now it has not been reinstalled. [Oottupura] Collapsed recently due to heavy rain and wind. Reconstruction of these, require huge amount of money [several lakhs of rupees]. Presently due to the contributions of devotees the reconstruction works are being done.

The upliftment of Human race, lies in gods grace. Thus the temples which possess this divine grace, are a symbol of purity and sanctity. To protect these sacred structures is the duty of each and every devotee. We, the members of the Committee, request all devotees to wholeheartedly contribute in all possible manner and thus [indulge/take part] in this noble endeavor.
